Youth Climate Conference 2025
The 4th annual Youth Climate Conference is scheduled to take place on 25th November at the Council Chambers and Civic Hall, 2 High Street, Perth.
The Youth Climate Conference 2025 is a dynamic, one-day event designed to inspire, educate, and empower young people to take meaningful climate action. Hosted in the heart of Perth, this conference brings together passionate youth, expert speakers, and hands-on workshops to explore innovative solutions for a sustainable future.
Secondary schools across Perth & Kinross are invited to join in with this opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and learn from leaders in environmental science, sustainable development, and climate advocacy.
The day will start off at 10am with welcome and introduction from the Council's Climate Change Team. The theme for the day is "Innovation" with speakers and workshops looking at new and innovate technologies, techniques and how we communicate and understand climate action.
Climate Action Planning
A pupil from each school will be invited to attend a special Climate Action Planning session, which will explore what the young people of Perth & Kinross would like to see happen in their schools to progress climate action. Facilitated by Keep Scotland Beautiful, this session will listen to young voices and create a pupil-led Climate Action Plan, setting targets for future Youth Climate Conference events.
Schools can get involved before the event by completing a short questionnaire on what actions they want to see in their school and community to tackle climate change.
