Paths for All - Together for Our Planet Project
The Together For Our Planet funding programme from the National Lottery will see Paths for All’s Dementia Friendly Walking team support care home staff and residents across Perth and Kinross respond to the climate emergency by becoming more sustainable.

Community Paths Grants Fund Now Open!
Paths for All’s Community Paths Grants Fund is now open for applications. Scottish community groups and charitable organisations can apply for up to £1500 to maintain, upgrade, create and promote community path networks.

Managed for Wildlife Trials Volunteering Opportunity
Do you want to play a part in monitoring biodiversity? Perth & Kinross Council are currently naturalising 42 trial site areas in selected parks and greenspaces and are looking for volunteers to help monitor these areas to identify if they have demonstrated enhanced biodiversity in comparison to the nearby mowed areas.

Investing In Communities Fund
Fund for community organisations which they can bid into for revenue support for 3 years.
The Investing In Communities Fund supports Climate Change Activities.

Call for Perth and Kinross S1-S5 students to help plan our youth climate conference
Perth and Kinross Council are looking to host a youth climate conference to coincide with COP27. We are currently looking for a group of around 10 secondary school students from S1-S5 who are interested in climate action to inspire our youth conference agenda. This will take the form of two online meetings. Deadline to apply Friday 17th June.

Let’s Tackle Climate Change Together!
Perth and Kinross Council's Climate Change Team are asking all community groups to complete this questionnaire and tell us about how you would like to engage with the council and other community groups undertaking climate action.

Take Action this Earth Day by joining other Perth and Kinross citizens who are collectively tackling climate change. Join one of the many group litter picks or pollinator stepping stone projects which are being organised.

Do you want to play your part in tackling climate change? Applications are now open for the Perth and Kinross Climate Change Commission. It will bring together people and organisations from the public, private and civic sectors to help drive, guide, support and monitor climate action in Perth and Kinross. Deadline 24th April.
New Tree Planting Guidance for Schools
Perth & Kinross Council have recently created new guidance for tree planting in schools. This guidance highlights key information and considerations for tree planting in school grounds.

Managed for Wildlife Trials Consultation
On the 7th February 2022, Perth & Kinross Council's Community Greenspace Team launched the ‘Managed for Wildlife Trials’ public consultation. The consultation is now on the consultation hub which includes a short survey with a interactive map showing all the sites and areas of interest.
Nature Calls - Bin The Wipes
Scotland is being urged to bin all wipes – and ban wipes containing plastic - in a major new campaign to help protect the environment.

PERTH & KINROSS COUNCIL FURNITURE RE-USE STRATEGY
The initiative that Perth & Kinross Council runs aims to divert surplus office/school furniture away from landfill by recycling where possible or offering to other agencies to re-use, recycle, salvage, or upcycle.

In December 2019, the Perth City Leadership Forum (PCLP) held a conference to discover how Perth might become the most sustainable small city in Europe.

Perth & Kinross Council Sign Climate Declaration
In December 2021, Perth & Kinross Council became an official signatory to both the Glasgow Food and Climate Declaration, and the Edinburgh Declaration on post-2020 global biodiversity framework.

COP26 Pop-up Shop
Perth & Kinross Council’s COP26 pop-up shop was located at 76 High Street in Perth, and ran from November 2nd to November 12th.

COP26 Student Art Competition
Perth & Kinross Council launched a drawing and sculpture competition for all students who live or study in the Perth and Kinross area in August-September 2021.

Zero Carbon Bus Tour Event – Outcomes
In October 2021, Perth was one of the flagship stops of the Zero Carbon Bus Tour.

Kinross Car Share Scheme Launches
Kinross Move Greener Organisation (KMGO) successfully launched during Summer 2021 and has been well received and used by both residents and visitors to the area.
