Green Living Fund 2026/27

Applications Open 24 August 2026
The Green Living Fund 2026/27 provides grants for community-led projects across Perth and Kinross that help tackle climate change while also supporting communities with the cost of living.
Almost £252,000 is available across Perth and Kinross Council wards to support projects that make a positive difference in local communities.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are welcome from:
- Community groups
- Community councils
- Charities
- Partnerships of eligible organisations
Please note that individuals, schools, sole traders and certain commercial organisations are not eligible to apply
What Projects Can Be Funded?
Projects should contribute to one or more of the following themes:
Energy
Reducing energy consumption, improving energy efficiency or supporting renewable energy initiatives.
Transport
Encouraging active travel and reducing transport emissions.
Waste
Reducing, reusing, repairing, sharing and recycling resources.
Resilience
Helping communities adapt to climate impacts such as flooding, drought and extreme weather.
Nature
Improving biodiversity, enhancing greenspaces and supporting local food growing.
Engagement
Raising awareness and encouraging community action on climate issues.
Key Dates
- 24 August 2026 (11.00am) – Applications open
- 5 October 2026 (5.00pm) – Applications close
- 26 October – 23 November 2026 – Public voting period
- By 4 December 2026 – Successful projects announced

How Does Funding Decide?
Applications will be reviewed to ensure they meet the fund criteria and are deliverable. Eligible projects will then go forward to a public vote, allowing local people to help decide which projects receive funding. The final decision will be based on a combination of technical assessment and public voting.
How Do I Apply?
Applications must be submitted online using Microsoft Forms.
