Garden Wildflower Hunt

We'll be asking you to:

Note any features or habitats e.g. lawn, hedge, stone wall, pots or troughs
Record any wildflowers in those habitats.
Use our recording app to send us your plant records, either via your smartphone or on your computer. The app (a kind of online recording form) is not yet available from app stores - it can only be accessed from the Garden Wildflower Hunt website.
For your safety and the safety of others please record only within your own garden, avoiding public areas and observing strictly the government's guidance limiting social contact.

Dun Coillich Rural Skills Training Course

14th February, 2024 - 3rd July, 2024

We are now taking applications for our next Rural Skills Training Course which will start on the 14th of February 2024 (closing date for applications is the 7th of February). The course runs for 20 weeks every Wednesday and some Thursdays and is completely free of charge. The course offers a mix of certified training (chainsaw, brushcutter, ATV, pesticide use, first aid), non-certified training days (dyking, ropes access, fencing, habitat monitoring); alongside practical work experience and skills development. Throughout the course, our trainees are given the opportunity to improve their wider skills and are encouraged to explore their interests and strengths in a supportive environment.
