Marine Litter Art Competition launched across Tayside

Raise awareness of source to sea litter in the River Tay and help to tackle marine pollution, by participating in Keep Scotland Beautiful’s 'craftivism' competition.

As part of the Upstream Battle campaign education activities, Keep Scotland Beautiful are asking young people across Tayside to research the ‘source to sea’ pathway of marine litter and explore how litter in their community could end up as marine litter in the sea. Following their investigations, participants will represent their thoughts through an artistic medium, such as sculptures, paintings, photographs, video or poetry. The more imaginative, the better!

The competition is open to early years, primary and additional support needs establishments, as well as uniform and community groups working with this age group in Perth & Kinross, Dundee and Angus.

Submission deadline 8 March 2024. Exhibition Event hosted by the V&A Dundee at the end of the competition.
