Pop along to this exciting craft afternoon at Perth Art Gallery and explore the theme of mythical beasts and other creatures. Dragons, unicorns, monsters, and kelpies, What’s your favourite?
Lots of exciting crafts to enjoy such as monster sun catchers, unicorn bookmarks and dragon magnets. Learn some brilliant facts about beasts in Perth and Kinross past and present: red squirrels versus grey squirrels, who is the myth and who is the beast?! What evidence do we have for the past? Alder Archaeology Unit will have a pop-up display of ancient bones and archaeological facts to explore.
Suitable for all ages and a great chance for families to learn and make together in a gallery setting. Just turn up and join in, no booking in advance is necessary. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Dun Coillich Rural Skills Training Course
We are now taking applications for our next Rural Skills Training Course which will start on the 14th of February 2024 (closing date for applications is the 7th of February). The course runs for 20 weeks every Wednesday and some Thursdays and is completely free of charge. The course offers a mix of certified training (chainsaw, brushcutter, ATV, pesticide use, first aid), non-certified training days (dyking, ropes access, fencing, habitat monitoring); alongside practical work experience and skills development. Throughout the course, our trainees are given the opportunity to improve their wider skills and are encouraged to explore their interests and strengths in a supportive environment.
