Comrie Community Centre Dunira Street Comrie PH6 2LJ | Free

At Caledonian Climate, our focus is on bringing Scotland’s vast peatlands back to life. Scientific expertise demonstrates that restoring our ancient peatlands is one of the quickest and most cost-effective Nature Based Solutions to challenge climate change in Scotland.

In a bid to spread awareness of peatland restoration and its importance, we are excited to be going on a “Restoration Roadshow” in March 2023. We will be traveling the length of Scotland to continue and expand the conversation around peatland restoration, and how this crucial activity can benefit everyone.

Each event will consist of several speakers talking on their topic of expertise, and how it compliments peatland restoration. The speakers are advanced in their field, passionate about the climate and keen to protect our natural resources.

Topics will include:

- How peatland restoration can impact watercourses and indicator species such as the Atlantic Salmon.

- The concept of Natural Capital and how it is affecting decision making.

- How deer populations can impact and be impacted by peatland condition.

- The peatland restoration journey.

Following presentations, an open Q&A panel will take place, to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Free event. Light refreshments will be provided.

* Please note that this event may be filmed, and you may feature on documentation for this event. If you do not consent to this, please get in touch and we will not include you in the footage.
